Quantum Resilience International ‘QRI’ was formed by Rick Denton, Sandip Patel KC and Andy Miles because mainstream traditional data security providers do not comprehend the unique workings of family offices, their businesses, and high-net value individuals. Our North Star is to build and integrate a superior data risk management operating model for them, to transform and safeguard their business and personal data.

The leadership team

Rick Denton

Chair

Rick has been a leader and subsidiary board member in four major international private banking groups, specialising in delivery of tailored services to family offices.

He has been CEO of a family office and has developed his own business, Denton Lovel Associates, through which he provides non-executive directorships and consultancy to family office related businesses, focusing on provision of superior governance to protect their business interests. He also provides personal coaching to next generation family office members, helping them develop as leaders.

As well as holding an MBA with distinction, Rick is investment, trust, and banking qualified. He is a governance and risk expert and represents the international branches on the UK Institute of Directors Council which seeks to advance board governance expertise.

Within QRI, Rick develops relationships with family office clients and their providers and helps QRI develop tailored support to manage their data security. Based in Guernsey, Rick is Chair of Quantum Resilience International, providing strategic direction and local oversight.

Andy Miles

CISO

Andy is the Chief Information Security Officer.

He was the founder and CEO of a global cyber-security business which was sold to the investors in 2019. His work was recognised: in 2018 he was presented with the Industry Champion award by the UK’s National Cyber Security Centre. He is a founding Director of QRI.

He is noted by clients for his innate ability to build deep-rooted trust relationships and identify and mitigate unforeseen risk to protect their interests. Andy is an expert in articulating technical challenges and mitigations to a non-technical audience and vice versa, whilst relating these to an organisational outcome.

Within QRI, Andy advises multi generation family, privately owned organisations, and their C-suite executives, on managing their data security and resilience across their global operations.

Sandip Patel KC

Counsel

Sandip is a barrister, former managing partner of an international law firm, and advises C-suite executives, board, regulators and policymakers on managing data risk and resilience. He has also been at the forefront of major cybercrime cases as lead prosecuting counsel in ‘DarkMarket’, ‘the Facebook Hacker’, ‘Anonymous and Operation Payback’ and ‘the boy who almost broke the Internet’.

Sandip has also trained investigators, lawyers and judges in England, Europe, Asia, and Caribbean on cyber security policies, procedures and legislation. He is Chairperson of the Cybercrime Practitioners’ Association and co-wrote the leading text-book: Electronic Evidence, 3rd Edition.
